I hear Her

I hear it
Her breathing in, her breathing out
Softly so sweet
Tears flow when she shout
But life circumstances
Buries her trauma temporarily
It lies within a box
Opened when the volcano erupts
Then it stops with an abrupt
Interruption of reality
An intercession of fragility
Soldier's strength
Tested in her presence
Yet so sweet I hear it
Her need to be loved
Without negligence

I loved her well beyond my means,
Attended sighs,
Caressed her woes.
I loved her to the point, it seems,
Beyond myself,
From top to toes.
I loved her to the end, she deems,
She cared no more.
Despite the rose.
I love her still, within my dreams,
When I'm awake,
My heart it's froze.
